Are they enjoyable?
Doesn’t matter, now they will be.
Use this simple template for pleasant and productive 1:1s.
TL;DR: Tell the truth, and it will de-clutter your brain.
For example…
🤐 Are you presenting an unrealistic rosy outlook to your boss?
🤐 Are you shielding your team from “distracting” (negative) company info?
🤐 Are you deluding yourself into believing things are fine when really you’ve got a chronic under-performer you need to have a conversation with?
You gotta tell the truth. Holding it in is adding mental weight and blocking you and others from making better progress.
